Hello from New Zealand

HI everyone - I'm Raewyn from stitchingfarmgirl in New Zealand and I am also counting down the sleeps until Scrub Stitching - cant wait to meet you all and have a laugh or two - oh and do some sewing too :-)
Chooky told me it was ok to post the following —
I'm guessing most of you know about the terror attack that happened in Christchurch recently.
And some of you may be aware that people (from around the world) are busy making heart blocks to make into quilts for the victims' families, the survivors and the first responders.
You can read about it *here*.
I had the idea that it would be cool to ask if any of the retreat group would like to make a block (or two) and if there was a wee pile of them, I could piece a top while I am there.
Chooky said there is no block swap this year so some of you may be interested in making the odd heart block instead. (You could make it beforehand or while you're there.)

No pressure, no expectations. If it happens, it happens.

The blocks are 6½" unfinished size and can be pieced or appliqued. I would like GREEN ones please. However I will gather other colours if they're made and will send them off when I get home.
Please check *this link* for the details.
To give you an idea, here is the start I have made.

I'm trying to clear the spare bed so I can start my Scrub Stitching pile!! See you all soon!!!

Raewyn....looking forward to catching up with you again..... I have a pile of blocks already done.....they are mostly appliqué ones....but if it’s ok for you to collect them or make up the top or whatever....that would be great.....and save me postage.....I could certainly provide enough for one top.
